With this simple tutorial we are going to teach you how to create a shortcut to a website on the mobile home screen to access it as if it were an APP.

In Android we can use different browsers, we will begin by explaining Chrome as it is the most common.

1.- Enter Chrome and access the web that you want to create the shortcut.

2.- Click on the three dots on the top right.

3.- Find the section Add to home screen

4.-If you wish, edit the name of the shortcut.

5.-Click on add and then add automatically.

The web icon will appear next to the Chrome icon on the home screen (if the home screen is already full of other applications, it will appear on the second home screen).

Now we go with Firefox , it is very similar:

1.- Open Firefox for Android and go to the page you want to create the shortcut to.

2.- Click on the three dots above (or  on the lower edge of the screen  or in the upper right corner of the browser).

3.- Click on add direct access to the page to the home screen and then add automatically.

4.-If you wish, edit the name of the shortcut.

The shortcut will now appear on your home screen .

How to create a shortcut on iPhone

Let’s see how to create a shortcut that simulates an APP in Safari

1.- Open Safari and search for the website you want.

2.- Press the “share” button, located in the lower bar if it is an Iphone, and in the upper bar if it is an Ipad. It’s the one with the arrow with the box.

3.- Go to “Add to home screen”

4.- The name of the website appears in the shortcut. We can change it and put the one we want.

5.- Click on “Add”.

As soon as you do, the web icon will appear on the home screen of your iPhone or your Ipad.
