Frostpunk 2 announced for PC with trailer that makes the hair stand on end and images: civil strategy to the limit

In 11 bit studios they do not understand half measures, they only know how to do the most extreme things and make us have the worst possible time. Only in this way is it understood that they make a second part of their wonderful video game Frostpunk of 2018 , and do it with a first trailer as powerful as the one they have chosen to present the chilling Frostpunk 2 .

The second part of Frostpunk swaps steam for oilThe second installment takes place 30 years after the first part, with a planet Earth that, as you can see from the images, still lives covered under a blanket of permanent ice, snow and frost, and that has not lowered temperatures one iota more extreme. On the contrary, it has radicalized them even more. We are once again the mayor of a city that has to do everything possible to keep its people afloat. The era of steam has come to an end, and now it is oil that is emerging as the great savior of the battered city.

Its managers want to offer an experience that goes “far beyond the original Frostpunk”, they comment, and they want to do it through a staff that has grown significantly to accommodate the needs of the game until reaching 70 employees . Our ambition is to create something more than a simple sequel, they assure. “Players will be able to enjoy a great universe of choices”, while, as in the original, we are shaping society itself through decrees and the city itself through the construction of its different structures.

The conflict between human being and nature is always presentThe idea is to take the basis of the first part, a harrowing management video game that put us to the limit like few others, and “add an unpublished layer that is present in lots of aspects of the game,” they explain, ensuring that it will be projected in elements such as politics, society or technological progress itself. They also promise one of the most fascinating things in a confrontation between human beings and nature that will reach new heights in this second chapter.
