Assassin’s Creed poll reveals fan-favorite protagonist and era

Over 300 questions about location, setting, and parkour mechanics reveal fan tastes and give Ezio the winner.

The Assassin’s Creed saga is one of the favorites of many players who have their main focus of interest in the action and adventure genre. The Ubisoft series has starred in an attractive survey on Reddit from which the results have now been published, and which has left some very interesting notions in terms of the likes and favorites of the fans.

Ezio and Altair are the favorite protagonists of the sagaThis data shows that Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin’s Creed II is the series’ favorite protagonist, although he is followed by Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad from the original Assassin’s Creed released in 2007. If we talk about time, three out of four players believe that a new game in the series would have a perfect backdrop if set between the 12th and 17th centuries , although surprisingly almost 60% of fans consider that the best parkour has been that of Arno the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Unity , one of the most maligned titles in the franchise.

The mapping approach is predominantly open-world with multiple cities and wilderness in the purest style of games like the recent Assassin’s Creed Valhalla , as opposed to Unity’s own or Syndicate’s single-city approach : the last of the “traditional” games of the series before jumping to the model more marked by the progression and levels of the last trilogy.

If we go into more detail, 87% of those surveyed want the series to lean towards stealth , and around 66% of fans do not care about the gender of the protagonist as long as he is a good character : something that fits with a study on the genre in the character editor that we recently told you about in terms of user preferences in precisely this aspect. Regarding the story, 35% of the fans like that the story is linear and that their actions have no repercussions on the narrative; while 25% prefer that it does affect. The rest are not just “wet” in one way or another.

Remember that in recent times we have begun to know things about the future of the Assassin’s Creed saga with the first details of its new installment, AC: Infinity , its code name.
