As the launch date of the Google Pixel 6 approaches, we know more and more details about it, unofficially, of course. In this regard, Google’s next flagship looks quite promising based on leaks shared by internet gurus, and according to Jon Prosser, the Google Pixel 6 will up the ante by offering up to 5 years of software updates. 

Recall that the average Android-based mobile enjoys 2 years of Android updates before the manufacturer completely forgets about its existence. So far Samsung is leading the way on this front with the announcement of its 4-year support program for many of its devices (from 2019 onwards). 

With this said, it is necessary to note that the promise does not necessarily refer to updates to the version of the operating system (Android 11, 12, 13, etc.). It might really only be security updates, which would still be a good thing if anything. Be that as it may, if this information is true, we have no doubt that Google will clarify the day of the presentation of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. 

In this vein, the date of presentation of the Google Pixel 6 series has not yet been agreed, but it is an open secret that it will occur at some point in October 2021. 

What else do we know about the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro? : The Google Pixel 6 would have up to 5 years of Android updates

Officially speaking, nothing, but unofficially a lot. In the case of the Google Pixel 6 (Oriel) we would be talking about a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen and Google’s custom SoC boosting the experience. Plus, it will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal storage options, not to mention a 4,614mAh battery .

On the photographic front, we would be looking at a 50MP + 12MP dual camera and an 8MP front camera. 

For its part, the Pixel 6 Pro (Raven) would raise the ante with a 6.71-inch Plastic OLED screen , a 5,000mAh battery, 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Also, the rear camera would be triple, with 50MP (main), 48MP (telephoto) and 12MP (ultra-wide) sensors. Also, a 12MP sensor will be on board the front camera.
