If it is a basic range mobile that you are looking for, the French brand  Wiko  has quite a few options that suit all pockets and, on top of that, equipped with Android  Go  to guarantee an appropriate performance of the smartphone. Notably, we can look at the  Wiko Y61 , a very economical mobile with Android 10  Go  installed; But if the budget allows it, its older brother, the WIKO Y81 , would be a better option for 100 euros, since it consists of a large HD + screen, 2GB of RAM and also a 4,000mAh battery that lasts for two whole days. 

In this sense, the WIKO Y81 is a respectable input option that does not skimp much on those aspects that are usually sacrificed in most terminals with Android Go, specifically the screen, battery and installed memory.

For a terminal of the cheapest on the market, the WIKO Y81 has a neat presentation. Its body may be made of plastic, but that does not mean that the device is not elegant and with a certain touch of grace, especially on the front, where it sports a modern screen with thin bezels and a notch  in the shape of a drop of water. 

Also, it is a phone with dimensions according to its screen, we are talking about 157.9 x 76.1 x 8.3mm and a weight of only 166 grams, so it is also very light. Unfortunately, it lacks a fingerprint reader (both side and rear), but it was to be expected for the price. 

As far as we understand, the WIKO Y81 is available in a single color presentation, and that is blue . 

On the back cover, it consists of a photo module in the upper left corner and the manufacturer’s logo in the center. The rest of the elements are located where you would expect them and the type of charging port used is Micro-USB 2.0 . In addition, it consists of a 3.5mm Jack on the top to connect headphones. 

Screen 

Much to our surprise, the WIKO Y81 sports a respectable 6.22-inch IPS display with HD + resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels and a density of 270ppi. It also has a V-shaped notch that houses the selfie camera. 

Honestly speaking, this is not a spectacular display; but to be dealing with a terminal based on Android Go, and considering the SubHD screen   of the  Wiko  Y61, the panel used here is more than good for the market to which this terminal is aimed. 

Hardware and Features 

The WIKO Y81 is a cell phone that is undoubtedly aimed at that audience that is looking for an affordable device for basic use and little else. This claim is supported by judging what is inside, that is, a  MediaTek  MT6761D SoC  with only quad-core 1.8GHz CPUs. The latter is accompanied by an IMG GE8300 GPU, which yields a combination that impresses no one, but is just right for using apps, surfing the internet, playing light games, watching social networks and, of course, calling or sending messages. . 

Speaking of being fair, the device consists of only 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage , the usual in this price range and more than what we would normally expect for a mobile with this operating system. It is also worth noting that it is possible to expand the storage using a Micro-SD card up to a maximum of 256GB. 

In this vein, the OS is Android 10 in its Go edition  , which guarantees smooth performance on this hardware thanks to Google’s excellent optimization. 

Changing the subject a bit, the connectivity options border on the normal: 4G LTE (Dual SIM),  Wi- Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / A-GPS and micro USB 2.0 in the physical section. 

Finally, we cannot forget to mention the battery with a decent capacity of 4,000mAh , which can offer (according to the manufacturer) up to 2 days of duration, a figure totally achievable in this terminal thanks to the low power consumption chip. 

Cameras 

Again, the cameras on the WIKO Y81 are nothing to brag about, which can be seen by looking at the lone 13MP sensor on the rear , but at least it has portrait mode, blur effect,   and a camera app optimized for get the best out of it, although yes, we should not expect a miracle in this price range. 

Finally, it has a 5MP  selfie  camera that supports 2D facial recognition, which should mitigate a bit the lack of a fingerprint reader on this Smartphone.
