Take-Two updates the sales of the two great Rockstar Games sagas with millionaire figures.
Take Two Interactive has recently released its fiscal results for the quarter (April – June) to investors. A presentation where the company shows how well the sales of the two most popular Rockstar Games titles are doing : Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 .
GTA V is responsible for 42% of franchise sales.GTA V reaches the grand figure of 150 million games sold, a number that has been adding up since its original launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 . This data takes the figures of the complete saga up to a total of 350 million units sold, with GTA V being responsible for 42% of this total.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is not far behind during the quarter, but not in total sales. This title reaches 38 million sales, beating the first installment and raising the franchise to a total of 60 million units sold.
GA V continues to sell without problems to this day, being the title with the highest number of sales in Spain during the month of May, surpassing recent deliveries such as Resident Evil Village . Rockstar’s game doesn’t seem to stop its euphoria, with versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S arriving on November 11 .
Another interesting detail of the Take Two presentation was the confirmation of 3 unannounced titles in which Rockstar Games works. We knew partially about this thanks to leaks that have emerged over the course of several months – like some details from GTA 6 – but this time it’s official. What do you think they will be working on?
