Dead Space Remake is directed by an Assassin’s Creed veteran
A few weeks ago the signing of Eric Baptizat by EA Motive was reported, now we know in what role.
Shortly before the announcement of Dead Space Remake, news broke of the signing of the director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla by EA Motive, now confirming his position as director of the development of the long-awaited return of the survival-horror series from Electronic Arts.
It has been Eric Baptizat himself who has confirmed his position in the team responsible for Star Wars: Squadrons through LinkedIn, adding that his work in the Canadian study began four months ago, in April of this course.
With his arrival at EA Motive Baptizat ends a long-standing relationship with Ubisoft , where he has been especially linked to the Assassin’s Creed series. For 16 years he worked in key development positions for titles such as Assassins Creed: Origins, Assassins Creed: Unity and Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. He also previously collaborated on Shaun White Skateboarding, James Cameron’s Avatar, and Surf’s Up.
The future of Assassin’s Creed
For now, the reasons for this change of scene are unknown, although it comes at a time of great changes for the Assassin’s Creed franchise at Ubisoft, which announced a few months ago a reunification of the development teams to give birth to Assassin’s Creed Infinity . It is a new step in the series that, according to information, would seek to offer a metaverse where the next games have a place .
