Technology, social responsibility and technology are three concepts that are increasingly linked. Apple has made rivers of ink flow with its decision to eliminate certain accessories with the aim of making its packaging thinner and, among other benefits, reducing the environmental footprint caused by its logistics. But he’s not the only one. Other manufacturers have managed to find a middle way to launch  “green” smartphones without the user giving up their accessories. This is the case of the  Huawei Mate 40 Pro , in which the development of its packaging has been taken care of to be  the most sustainable of the company to date.

Huawei, with its  commitment to sustainability , has expressed its intention to carry out the necessary measures to face the environmental problems that we live in the current stage. One of these actions is the development of the packaging of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, the latest flagship of the company that has some very special features.

In the first place,  the elimination of plastics from its packaging stands out, although it does not reach 100%, less than 4% of the materials used are plastics. On the other hand, 100% recyclable soy ink has also been used  instead of the usual petroleum ink, a carcinogenic and environmentally highly polluting agent. The use of paper has also  been reduced by 90% .

All this may seem insignificant if we take as a reference a single unit that reaches the hands of the end user. But, looking in general terms, for every ten million units produced, more than 12,000 tons of carbon emissions and more than 18,000 kilos of plastics are reduced, among others.

It is everyone’s responsibility to fight against the environmental problems of the stage in which we have lived and we must not forget that  the big change is in small gestures.
