Vivo Y12s, an alternative version of the Vivo Y11s at a better price
Vivo has revealed a new entry-level terminal that is very familiar to us, and that is because it is an alternative version of the Vivo Y11s that recently arrived in Spain. However, the Vivo Y12s relies on a MediaTek Helio P35 chip that distinguishes it from the Y11s; in addition, we will find changes in the memory configurations available, therefore it is worth knowing.

Like the Vivo Y11s, the Y12s offers a 6.51-inch screen with HD + resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.
The rear cover features a photo module in the upper left corner with two vertically aligned cameras. Here we will not find a fingerprint reader, since the company has chosen to place it on the right edge.
The color options for the Vivo Y12s are blue and black.

Now that we have to talk about the Hardware, we can begin to appreciate the differences between the Vivo Y12s and the Y11s. First, the Y12s makes use of a Helio P35 chip instead of a Snapdragon 460. Second, the storage options range from 3GB of RAM + 32GB of storage to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage . For the rest, everything remains the same, such as the 5,000mAh battery that powers the terminal along with its 10W charge via Micro-USB.
Likewise, the operating system of turn is Android 10 along with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 11 user interface.
Lastly, we can expect a 13MP (f / 2.2) rear camera backed by a 2MP (f / 2.4) bokeh sensor and an LED flash. Meanwhile, the selfie camera employs an 8MP sensor with f / 1.8 aperture.
Availability and price
At the moment, the Vivo Y12s is only available in the Asian market, and in the absence of confirmation about its arrival in other regions, we cannot guarantee anything yet. However, we have an approximate idea of how much it will cost : 120 euros (to change) for the version with 3GB + 32GB and 160 euros for the 4GB + 128GB version.
