Redmi K30s, a new member of the family with high-end features
Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 series already has quite a few members, we have the standard K30, the Ultra, K30i and even a K30 Extreme Edition, but it seems that the company has not finished with it yet, and this is how the new member of the family, the Redmi K30s . In this sense, we cannot let the “S” at the end of its name fool us, since it is not a Lite version of the heap, but rather a middle ground between the K30 series and the Xiaomi Mi 10T.
Changes to the screen and the photographic module, this is the Redmi K30s: Redmi K30s, a new member of the family with high-end features
The design of the terminal has changed substantially compared to the standard Redmi K30, and this time we can notice the changes with the naked eye, since the terminal renounces the pop-up front camera and instead opts for a conventional perforation or punch hole, such as some say.
Speaking of the screen, it has a 6.67-inch diagonal , exhibits FullHD + resolution and even more interesting, a 144Hz refresh rate , which puts it on a par with high-end terminals such as the Mi 10T Pro. It should be noted that due to the technology of its panel (LCD), it lacks a fingerprint reader, but nothing happens, since there is one on the start button on the right side.
Likewise, the rear cover has also changed, not only have we opted for more serious color presentations (silver and black), but we also see changes in the shape and location of the photographic module. This is how the camera looks on the new Redmi K30s:
Hardware and Features: Redmi K30s, a new member of the family with high-end features
Xiaomi ups the ante with the Redmi K30s and equips it with a Snapdragon 865 chip that brings high-end performance and 5G connectivity to the whole. To accompany it, we will find 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM , which can be paired with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage type UFS 3.1, it all depends on the version chosen.
Powering the device we will find a 5,000mAh battery , which supports fast charging of 33 watts.
The operating system could not be other than Android 10, but remember that it is a Xiaomi mobile, therefore, the interface is provided by MIUI in its most recent version, 12.
In terms of wireless connectivity, the terminal supports the following standards: 5G in the SA / NSA bands, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS and infrared.
Cameras
A triple rear camera comes on board the Redmi K30s, and it is chaired by a Sony IMX682 64MP sensor , followed by a 13MP wide-angle lens with a 123 ° field of view and, finally, a camera for 5MP macro photography. The set is undoubtedly more humble than that seen on the Xiaomi Mi 10T, but the price justifies it.
To top it off, there is a 20MP front camera on the screen.
