Would you buy an iPhone without a charger? Apple could be thinking about it

After Apple’s WWDC 2020, where iOS 14 was presented  , among other news, rumors about the next smartphone from the Cupertino company continue to happen. Without another keynote in sight, the presentation of the iPhone will be the next big event of the firm, which could be held in the month of September. In addition to the generational change that this new launch will entail, it could be the first time that we are facing an  iPhone without a charger .

Why would Apple want to release an iPhone without a charger?: Would you buy an iPhone without a charger? Apple could be thinking about it

The news comes from the hand of  Ming-Chi Kuo , a renowned technology analyst who is usually quite right with his predictions. In fact, the last one that is circulating on the networks points directly to the possibility that the next iPhone will come without a charger. The reason would be twofold.

On the one hand, the purpose of the Californian firm would be to  reduce electronic waste . Taking care of the environment is one of the priorities of large companies and saving the production and putting into circulation of chargers that, probably, are not necessary, is a good measure that could have a higher impact than it seems. The iPhone user is quite faithful and most of the new buyers already have a charger at home, from an older model.

For this reason, including a charger in the box might not be necessary, so, in addition to helping the environment, it would also help the user’s pocket, since  the price of the product could be cheaper  by saving on this accessory . The price of the charger separately is 35 euros so, perhaps, we can see this saving in the final price of the iPhone.

Either way, we have to wait a few more months to see what Apple’s plans are and if we will finally have to reuse the old charger or if, as before, the company will offer us a complete packaging.
