Covid-19 is causing delays in all sectors: books, movies, vacations … We have all suffered it in one way or another and Apple may also suffer it with its most anticipated launch for this 2020. After confirming that its  WWDC 2020  will be online, now all eyes are on the production chain of what will be its next flagship. The  iPhone 12 could be delayed to October, but not only for this reason.

In a traditional way, the renewal of the Apple smartphone has taken place in recent years in the month of September. However, the exceptional situation that we are experiencing during 2020 could cause the calendar to move until  mid-October . At least, this is how the latest leaks on the new iPhone indicate.

The reasons would be two: on the one hand, the slowdown that the production chain would be suffering  , derived from work stoppages and the lack of supplies in the factory; on the other, the  mobility problems of the engineers . To monitor the production status of these devices, part of Apple’s engineering team must travel to validate the prototypes, a situation that has been compromised by the global pandemic.

For these two reasons, the release date of the iPhone 12 could be slightly delayed compared to previous years. In any case, just a month of delay does not seem very alarming and it would not hurt the sales of a company that is increasingly focused on services.

Another rumor suggests that there  could be an iPhone 12 with an OLED screen and another without it , and that the launch of both could be staggered to allow, first, the arrival of the iPhone without an OLED screen and a month later the most advanced model.
