The P40 Lite Huawei is a terminal that we know in depth, but the day returns today to the arena and boasting improved connectivity 5G bring a greater number of consumers. In this sense, the new edition receives the name of Huawei P40 Lite 5G and also a better processor, a larger screen and a main camera with a higher resolution.

This time the available color options are: green, silver and black.

Everyone is entitled to 5G, says Huawei

The Huawei P40 Lite 5G swaps the Kirin 810 chip for the new 7 nanometer Kirin 820 with 5G network connectivity . However, the terminal retains the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage seen in the original version, and the same can be said for the 4,200mAh battery with a superfast 40-watt charge.

Also, the Android 10 operating system repeats, but with a more recent version of EMUI, 10.1. However, as with the original model, the Huawei P40 Lite 5G lacks the services and applications of Google, instead, we will find the mobile services of Huawei and the AppGallery.

The rest of the connectivity options remain exactly the same, the only novelty in this department is the inclusion of 5G in the device.

Cameras

In the photographic department we see how a 64MP sensor displaces the 48MP one that we could find in the original version, which not only means an increase in resolution, but also implies the incorporation of Pixel Binning technology that allows us to combine 4 pixels in 1. Accompanying this camera we have the same sensors as last time: an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera , a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For its part, the front camera remains at 16MP.

The camera system is also compatible with Huawei’s own video features, such as Dual-View Video Mode , Super Night Selfie and Multi-Frame Fusion technology to enhance the color and details of the background.

Availability and price of the Huawei P40 Lite 5G

The Huawei P40 Lite will go on sale in Spain this June 1st for a price of 399 euros . Likewise, there will be a pre-purchase offer from May 15 to May 31 on the company’s portal, which includes the Huawei Freebuds 3i as a gift.
