Until not long ago, Xiaomi was a Chinese brand that was beginning to arrive in Spain, offering very cheap entry-level phones. Little by little its status was rising and now it can boast of having placed first in the  ranking of mobile brands that sell the most in our country . The Chinese giant surpasses  Huawei (the second in the list) and  Samsung  (who occupies the third position) and demonstrates the good physical shape in which the company is.

Gone are the days when Samsung and Apple competed face to face, with little competition. And data like the ones we bring you today certify it. Xiaomi has been crowned as the smartphone brand that accumulates the most sales in Spain, according to an  analysis by Canalys referring to the first quarter of 2020. A quarter that has been marked by the Coronavirus and that has affected all sectors, has not been primed both with technology, as we saw with Apple’s increased revenue .

Looking at the rest of the ranking, the good health of Oppo is also noteworthy  , who is gaining positions very quickly, and  Huawei , who maintains a more than valued second place despite the political problems it has faced in the last months.

In total terms, Xiaomi’s growth in this period has been  46% , while that of Oppo, which is already in fifth place, is an impressive  1024% , mainly justified by its low presence to date. In second, third and fourth position, with a small setback but still in good sales health, the falls in growth of Huawei, Samsung and Apple have been  14%, 20% and 8% , respectively.
