Huawei phones have managed to focus their value on two aspects:  camera and battery . Its photographic section boasts of offering its users the best quality with each new release, while the battery endures an intense rhythm and is equipped with the best fast charging systems. But with the new Huawei P40 , the company has wanted to put even more efforts in these sections and, specifically in the case of the battery, it has implemented an  intelligent charging mode to avoid its natural degradation.

Lithium batteries in smartphones have a problem:  they degrade more easily if they fall below 10% or above 95%. To prevent your mobile from spending a long time on these thresholds and especially if you are one of those who put it to charge and forget, a new smart charging mode has just been released in EMUI.

We explain in a simple way what it consists of. Imagine that you are one of those who charge your mobile at night. You put it on, you go to sleep, and in an hour you have it 100%. But, until you get up, spend many more hours with this percentage. This is very negative for the life of the batteries.

With this new smart EMUI charging mode, what the terminal does is  learn from your routines , it knows when you are going to wake up and manages the charge so that it advances up to 80% and stops until a little before getting up, calculating the time it takes for you to have it 100% when you wake up.

We have already seen this in other manufacturers, such as Apple, who already implement it in their devices to help make the batteries more resistant and durable.
