ivo officially arrives on the Spanish market and a large part of Europe
Long gone is that time where manufacturers of mobile devices of Chinese origin do not dare to leave their own territory and there was no choice but to buy from online stores in that country to get one of their latest launches. Now many brands have already expanded their horizons and Vivo is the last to confirm it .
Vivo has officially confirmed its landing in Spain, as following in the footsteps of other competitors such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Realme, it will begin its operations in Western Europe with the commercialization of its first mobile devices from the second quarter of 2020 with terminals that will cost between the 200 and 600 euros.
Vivo is already one of the market leaders: ivo officially arrives on the Spanish market and a large part of Europe
The reasons why brands are looking more and more at Europe is none other than the restrictions placed by the United States Government on China during the past year, something that specifically has seriously complicated Huawei’s plans with the possibility of using the Android operating system on their future phones.
In the case of Vivo, the company has been in the market for almost a decade after its creation in 2011 and has already earned the third place among the manufacturers with the highest number of sales in China, only behind Huawei and Oppo . In addition, it already has a good position in Asia-Pacific and Russia, thus reaching sales of no less than 120 million mobile phones in 2019. In this new year it has already debuted its first launch under the name of Vivo Z6 5G .
At the moment it is known that the brand has already established its European headquarters in Dusseldorf (Germany), where it currently employs more than 55 workers with the intention of starting to sell its mobiles throughout Spain, Italy, France, Poland, United Kingdom , Germany and Turkey . In the Iberian territory, it has recently opened a small office with more than a dozen employees.
Seon-Il Hwang, Vivo’s vice president for Europe, has confirmed that conversations are already being held with the operators Telefónica, Orange and Vodafone , and large distributors such as Saturn MediaMarkt to market their Smartphones. The intention is to be able to further expand its presence in the future with opportunities in the United States and Latin America.
