In 2019 we began to see the  first folding machines on the market,  but it cannot be said that it was a success. The Royole Flexipai went completely unnoticed despite being the first, the Samsung Galaxy Fold faced numerous quality problems and the Huawei Mate X did not even go on sale in Spain. 2020 seems to be the year in which mistakes are corrected and, with experience (good or bad) under our arm, we already have very interesting options on the table. The  folding of Huawei and Samsung  are fighting against each other to win over the public, although they are focused on two very different users.

Huawei maintains the aesthetic line of the Huawei Mate X in its recently presented  Huawei Mate XS . For the Chinese giant, the justification for choosing this type of terminal is based on the possibility of  increasing the inches  of the device and turning a smartphone into a tablet. This terminal has a 6.6-inch main  screen , a 6.38-inch secondary  screen and a total size of  8 inches when the smartphone is fully deployed.

This folding concept improves productivity and allows greater possibilities in the multimedia aspect.

On the other side of the coin we find the new  Samsung Galaxy Z Flip , the Samsung folding that, instead of seeking to increase its size, seeks to decrease it. The South Korean company equips a screen that folds back on itself, achieving a very small terminal. Unfolded it is  6.7 inches,  while folded it offers just  1.1 inches .

This folding is indicated for those who prefer to have a small mobile to put in their pocket or take up little space in their bag.
