Xiaomi is a company that does not need an introduction, we already know how innovative it can be and how extensive its catalog can be. However, a mobile that the company is still pending to deliver to the market is the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha , an impressive conceptual device with a wraparound screen that covers 180.6% of the surface of the device.  

While it is true that we have not heard anything about this mobile in a long time, recently some Xiaomi patents were sighted that show a smartphone with a design similar to the Mi MIX Alpha , but even more realistic.

The patent shows a Xiaomi phone with a screen that curves back , but does not cover the entire rear panel. This leaves a large part of the back cover free, thus avoiding possible scratches when placing the phone on a surface. 

Honestly, this design seems more viable than the one used by the Mi MIX Alpha, although ironically this last device is already a reality and the one we are seeing in the patents is not, and the fact that there is a patent is not a guarantee of that Xiaomi is going to use it for now , but it is always a possibility that is worth taking into account. 

Otherwise you can see a dual camera in the center of the device, which is probably there as a simple marker, since the current trend is 3 cameras or more. 

In another vein, Xiaomi claimed last year to have the means to mass-produce the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha, but only last month it became known that the company had to delay its launch due to production-related problems , something that is to be expected from a device of this caliber. As a reminder, the Mi MIX Alpha uses a flexible 7.92-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2088 x 2250 pixels that wraps almost the entire terminal, with the only exception of a thin strip that houses the rear camera.
