Rumors of a new Samsung folding smartphone existed for months, but in the absence of information we had decided to ignore them … until now, since the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has been completely leaked , a smartphone that was supposed to be revealed a few days before the Mobile World  Congress  2020 of Barcelona. However, thanks to the always reliable  tipster  Roland  Quandt  and the WinFuture portal  , we will no longer have to wait that long. 

Before starting to detail this mobile, two details must be taken into account. First of all, it is a premium smartphone that is not aimed at the common user, instead it is aimed at influencers and enthusiasts. Second, and contrary to what rumors had us believe, the  Samsung Galaxy Z  Flip will not have 5G network support.

According to the information provided, the Samsung Galaxy Z  Flip will be similar to the Motorola  Razr , this means that it will fold in half as if it were a cap mobile (what memories). The Infinity  Flex display  has a hinge that allows it to fold in half; the panel uses AMOLED technology and measures about 6.7 inches . The resolution it offers is 2,636 x 1080 pixels as a result of its 22: 9 aspect ratio.  

Also, the Infinity  Flex display  consists of a punch- hole camera  in the center (perforation) and exhibits an ultra-thin glass instead of a plastic panel, since this material gave problems in the Galaxy Fold and Samsung does not intend to trip with the same stone twice. 

There is also a second screen on the back cover: a 1.06-inch (300 x 116) OLED panel that can be used to indicate the time and to display simple notifications. According to the source, the fingerprint sensor is located on the right side, just below the volume and on / off buttons. 

Hardware and Features 

Internally, the Samsung Galaxy Z  Flip  will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal UFS 3.0 storage (Not expandable). Also listed is a modest 3,300mAh battery that supports 15-watt fast charging and wireless charging.  

In the software department you should have Android 10 alongside the One  UI 2.0 user interface  . At the connectivity level, nothing revolutionary is expected, since it will be a 4G LTE mobile, but at least it will have  Wi- Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and a USB Type-C interface . 

In the photographic field, there is talk of a dual camera on the back , where both sensors exhibit a resolution of 12MP. Going into detail, the main sensor would have an aperture of f / 1.8 while the secondary one will have one of f / 2.2 and a field of view of 123 degrees. On the other hand, the front camera would stay at 10MP along with an f / 2.0 aperture. 

Availability and price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 

This new Samsung folding mobile should be presented during the company’s Unpacked event  on February 11, just a few days before MWC 2020. Also, the source indicates that this terminal would hit the market on February 14 with a price of 1,500 euros .
