Android Ambient Mode is coming soon to select devices
One of the latest innovations presented by Google’s mobile operating system was called Ambient Mode and consists of transforming the device’s screen into an intelligent control center while it is recharging its battery . After a few months, its first integration into current terminals is already known today.
Simply through a publication on his official Twitter account it has been possible to know that soon the Ambient Mode of Android will begin to be available in some of the Smartphones and tablets present in current stores, throughout the catalog of different manufacturers and from of the Android 8.0 Oreo version , so there are many models that could receive this function over the months.

At the moment there are different models confirmed to receive this update, from the Lenovo Smart Tab M8 HD and other tablets belonging to the same line of manufacturer’s equipment, in addition to the latest Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 mid-range phones. Its arrival on Sony, Nokia, Transsion and Xiaomi mobiles is also confirmed , although it is surprising that the Google Pixel themselves are not included at launch.
As can be seen in the first images, the Android Ambient Mode will bring together different useful features in the terminal on a single screen, such as being able to quickly assign alarms, view the following tasks registered in the calendar, possibility to turn on / off the lights smart phones at home and even look at a personalized photo gallery at the bottom of the screen.
In conclusion, although at the moment it seems to be a useful addition for Android Smartphones while they are charging their battery, its integration still does not seem to be relevant enough to “simplify the daily lives of its users”, as Google itself wants reflect it. Of course, new proactive experiences are promised for later that make Ambient Mode something more complete .
