Just a few days before the IFA 2019 in Berlin begins, where we hope that LG will present us the renewal of its high-end smartphone range, South Korea has surprised us by updating one of its most popular mid-ranges, the Q series. six months we knew the LG Q60 and now it is the turn of an LG Q70  that points to the fashion of the “hole in the screen”.

As we say, the highlight of this new LG Q70 is its design, with a triple camera dominating the rear and a hole in the screen where the front camera is collected.

This panel has a size of  6.4 inches and Full FHD + resolution. The generous dimensions are also reflected in its weight, 190 grams, nothing light, although the 8 mm thickness favors its good ergonomics. Turning inside the device, we find quite modest hardware. At the front of the controls, a  Snapdragon 675 , a SoC that was presented in October 2018 with the intention of focusing on gaming smartphones (although, in view of its specifications, it seems more a marketing claim than reality) and that It leaves us with an eight-core construction at a maximum clock frequency of 2.0 GHz. In the commander’s cabin we also find an  Adreno 615 GPU, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory, expandable by microSD .

We move on to the photographic section, where the triple rear camera leaves us with data of  32 MP (f / 1.8) + 13 MP (wide angle) + 5 MP . For its part, a single 16 MP lens is mounted on the front  . Although we see that it is not a device with high ambitions, a very good job has been done on connectivity. In the absence of 5G (which, in view of how the market is doing, it would be crazy to expect it in a smartphone of this type), we have  4G, ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC . Not bad.

Finally, we highlight its IP68 certification  ,  its  fingerprint reader located on the back, its 4,000 mAh battery with QC 3.0 fast charge and the inclusion of Android 9  as an operating system.

Availability and price of the LG Q70

For now, it has been made official in  South Korea , where it is priced at  400 euros . We have no news about its launch in Europe, although, like the previous generation, we hope to see it in this territory sooner rather than later.
