Black  Shark , the partner brand Xiaomi dedicated to smartphones for gam ing , has announced the imminent launch of a new terminal, which is actually the Black  Shark  2 Pro , a more powerful version of the  Black Shark 2  released to the market makes a few months. It has slightly more powerful hardware characterized by the Snapdragon 855+ chip, thus becoming the second mobile to mount it after the Asus ROG  Phone  2, another terminal for video games. Also, the Black  Shark  2 Pro undergoes a slight aesthetic redesign to justify its sale. These and other changes will be explained below.

The Black  Shark  2 Pro retains the 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution from the original version, but  certain aspects of it have been  updated . First, the tactile response has been improved , going from a delay of 43.5 milliseconds to just 34.7ms. Additionally, the display now spans the DCI-P3 color gamut and features DC Dimming 2.0. 

It goes without saying that the fingerprint sensor is built into the screen, just as it happens in the original version. 

The rear end has received an improved design that is inspired by formula one cars, with improved grip and the addition of two RGB LED strips located on the sides of the Black Shark logo  . On the other hand, the device will be available in 5 attractive colors: black, silver, blue (with orange accents), purple and orange. 

Black  Shark  will also release 3 limited editions of the Black  Shark 2 Pro in association with the Chinese eSports team  LNG , which feature a red lettering on the back cover. These come in black, silver, and gold.  

Hardware and Features 

The biggest change comes in the form of the   Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC , whose main difference comes in the form of higher clock frequencies for both the CPU and the GPU, thus allowing it to provide better performance in games and reach a score of 550,610 points in The  AnTuTu Synthetic Benchmark.  

However, this is not all, since the internal storage has been  updated  to UFS 3.0 technology and it only comes in two options: 128GB or 256GB. On the other hand, the set is backed by 12GB of RAM in all its versions and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery, which is compatible with 27-watt fast charging. 

At the software level there are not many new features, with the exception of the new game mode Black  Space Dock 4.0. 

Finally, the secondary camera that accompanies the 48MP sensor on the rear has received a small improvement, now it is a 13MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture instead of 12MP. The front camera does not change at all, it remains at 20MP. 

Availability and price of the Black  Shark  2 

The Black  Shark  2 goes on sale in China this Friday the second of August for a price of 2,999 yuan for its version with 128GB, which in exchange would be approximately 390 euros. Meanwhile, the variant with 256GB of ROM will cost 3,499 yuan , the equivalent of 455 euros.  

However, we will have to wait for information about its launch in other markets before we hope to acquire it, although taking into account that we can buy the original model through Amazon.com, it is just a matter of waiting a few months.
