6 Samsung phones that will update to Android 9 very soon

Although we are already immersed in the confirmations of mobile phones that will receive  Android Q soon (just yesterday we talked about EMUI 10 in Huawei ), we cannot forget that there are many devices on the market that still work with Oreo. For these, having at least Android Pie is great news. If you have one of these  Samsung phones , today we are going to make your day.

Samsung has officially declared which will be the next five smartphones that will receive Android 9 Pie. And it has done so by also revealing its update dates. In  June , that is, from now on, the Samsung Galaxy A6 and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will be able to have this version of Android  During the month of  July we will also have another smartphone being updated, it will be specifically the  Samsung Galaxy XCover4 .

Summer will be quite calm in this sense, we will only have an update in  August , specifically in the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo  and the updates will be resumed just after the holidays, this time for the J series. It will be in September when the  Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 receive Android 9 and in  October when the  Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 does the same if no setback occurs that alters the calendar.

And the tablets?

The market for Android tablets are also susceptible to updates and in this case, Samsung’s are now starting with their update program for Android 9 Pie. As in mobile phones, the deployment will be carried out in a staggered manner: the month of  July will reach the  Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5  and the  Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2,  while in  August it will be the  Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 who receives it. Finally, in  September 2019 the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2017 will be updated  .

These updates should jump automatically when they are available, both on Samsung mobiles and tablets, but if you do not receive them you can check it in the Settings – Software updates menu.
