Knowing the data about the  sale of smartphones  is a good indicator to discover the dominant position of different manufacturers, market trends, the average consumer budget and the most successful characteristics. We already have the data on the best-selling smartphones in 2018 on the table  and there are two issues that catch our attention: that the iPhone X is the winner and that Huawei does not appear in the Top 10.

The winner of the list of best-selling smartphones in 2018 was the iPhone X: Do you know which were the best-selling smartphones in 2018?

Apple receives less and less from iPhone sales , however, it can proudly affirm that its  iPhone X was the winner among the best-selling smartphones in 2018. It is also not the only apple device that we can see in this list.

As we have seen in this report by  Counterpoint , the Top 3 is for Apple, with the  iPhone X , iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus . In addition, it places three other devices in the Top 10: the iPhone 7 , the  iPhone XS Max, and the  iPhone XR .

Samsung can also boast of having three smartphones on this list: the  Samsung Galaxy S9 , the  Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus,  and the  Samsung Galaxy J6. 

The third manufacturer that we see on the list of best-selling smartphones in 2018 is Xiaomi, who has placed its  Xiaomi Redmi 5A as the fifth best-selling mobile worldwide.

What about Huawei?

It is a bit contradictory that  Huawei is the second manufacturer that sells the most mobile phones in the world and yet it does not appear on this list. The variety of devices that it brings to the market every year and its success in all ranges (P Smart, P20, P20 Pro, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, P20 Lite …) in 2018 has made things go very well in the company China but its sales have diversified.
