Learn Portuguese on your own

Self-taught learning has many advantages, the main one being the student’s independence.  In fact, you will not have to adapt to the schedule imposed by a teacher, but you can practice whenever and however you want, without taking into account the availability of anyone.

You can also take advantage of this freedom when doing your Portuguese exercises, since you will have carte blanche to choose the educational resources  that you like the most to learn Portuguese on your own . If you don’t like textbooks, no problem: you can choose other resources that interest you more.

However, we must not forget that learning self-taught is learning alone, so you have to have a lot of willpower and a good dose of motivation.

In a park, on the subway or at home: learn Portuguese on your own!

To truly become an expert in the Camões language, it is recommended:

• Travel to Portugal and / or Brazil,
• Talk to a native,
• Work in Portugal,
• Do an internship in Portugal,
• Do a language exchange with a Portuguese,
• Study in Portugal,
• Chat with Spaniards of Portuguese origin in associations, for example,
• Immerse yourself in Portuguese culture (Portuguese cuisine, Portuguese literature …).

If you combine digital resources, textbooks and talks with native speakers, you can easily achieve a high level in Portuguese with motivation and perseverance.
