Tips for drawing a garden
Among the most pleasant landscapes to draw, the garden is at the top of the list.
More and more people are fond of gardening, which is already part of the daily life of many people. Plants, pretty flowers, bushes, orchards… There are many things to draw in the garden! Even if you don’t have a garden, surely you have a park close to home that is worth drawing.
Learning to draw a garden is very rewarding for a cartoonist. You have to learn to draw vegetation and much more to draw animals . Again, it’s about looking at every detail.
Some will draw a garden for its simple beauty, for the pleasure of painting a beautiful landscape, while others prefer to draw 3D plans to reproduce their surroundings.
Whatever the reason, it is essential to learn to draw perspective before embarking on making such a drawing. The perspective appears in the Renaissance especially with Leonardo da Vinci and his Mona Lisa and allows to give relief to the drawing, but above all depth.
To achieve this, you must start by placing vanishing points on your drawing sheet. From these points, you should draw straight lines that give you the ideal height of trees or shrubs, for example. If you place the vanishing point in the center, it will represent the background of your garden since the more distant the elements are, the smaller they appear.
To learn how to draw the garden and therefore perspective, you can take drawing classes. In workshops or with a private teacher or a drawing teacher , the classes are an opportunity to learn the basics of drawing, such as perspective, drawing a face, the play of light and shadows, the anatomy of the human body, still life, etc.
When choosing a private tutor, you can find a landscape teacher or a specialist in naturalistic drawings. It is the perfect opportunity to learn with a specialist to draw easily and improve.
