Start drawing a comic from its characters, storyboard, and coloring

For starters, keep in mind that most comic book writers are completely self-taught – you don’t need to have taken drawing classes or join a drawing school, although nothing is stopping you!

After having worked on the synopsis , a crucial step for the birth of your work, you must move on to character design , in other words, draw characters that will live your story. So unleash your talents and don’t be afraid to make characters of risky proportions.

Then you should think about the storyboard or storyboard , that is, choose the sequence of frames, dialogues and illustrations for your comic strip. Make sketches with the famous speech bubbles and take your time!

Feel free to embark on the comic because as the illustrators say :

“Making comics is like seeing your dreams.” – Chris Ware

Once you have all your black and white drawings, the coloring step comes and you can apply the color in various ways, such as colored pencils, pastels, markers, or even oil paint. Remember the most important thing: make a drawing that you like and a story that fascinates you!
