Being a teacher: how to prepare your Latin classes

To become a Latin teacher, it is important to organize yourself well. It is not enough to be in front of a student to know how to teach a Latin class. Each teacher should take the time to prepare their classes well in advance.

A class can be of different shapes. If you work in a public center, you must  follow the imposed program . But nothing prevents you from having fun integrating more fun activities than simple literary translations.

Private teachers have a little more freedom because they can choose the program they want according to the needs of the students. If a student wants to discover the Latin language, history and culture, you can use modern resources such as videos, etc.

But above all, take the time to talk with your students  to find out what they expect from the classes and what their needs are. In this way, you will be able to personalize the classes according to the character and objectives of the student.
