The main objective of this program is that you learn to design, plan and develop communications networks, guaranteeing their security at all times, to become a true specialist in the  administration of computer networks .

You will learn to:

• Know the fundamental principles of data transmission and the technical terminology used in this field, as well as the different topologies or connection methods used in communications.
• Design computer networks , knowing the network devices that exist and their main functions, following the entire process, from the planning and analysis to the assembly and start-up of the network.
• Understand the characteristics of a network and the protocols (IP, TCP, DNS, UDP, DHCP…) that act on it, based on the TCP / IP reference model on which the Internet is based, and on the OSI reference model.
• Structuring a corporate network to isolate functionalities through the hierarchical network model, keeping in mind the security holes of a network and applying the necessary measures to minimize them, studying VPNs among others.
• Recognize the different threats to which a computer system is exposed and establish security mechanisms and guidelines to deal with them.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will obtain a title of University Expert in Networks and Communications , issued by  Universidad San Jorge  (18 ECTS credits).

To access one of our  University Experts  , the following must be complied with:

• Being over 18 years*

* In this case, the title of Expert is issued indicating the content and duration of the study in hours. It does not award ECTS.

Or meet one of these requirements:

• Be in possession  of the Baccalaureate degree or equivalent  (also European and International Baccalaureate)
• To be in possession of the title of  Superior Technician of Professional Training , or Superior Technician in  Plastic Arts and Design  or  Superior Sports Technician .
• Be  over 25 years of age with at least one year of  accredited professional experience related to the content of the training.
• Be a university graduate or be studying a degree at the San Jorge University itself.

If this last access requirement is met, the degree issued will be University Expert (18 ECTS credits). Otherwise, the student will obtain the Expert degree .
