We all know very well the discount coupons offered by numerous websites, for customers they are a good opportunity to find the service or product they want at a better price than usual, and for businesses they are a good opportunity to make themselves known, that the customer returns and that in addition to what has been spent on the coupon, they take some other product. More and more websites are emerging that offer discount coupons, it is something that we frequently use in online media for relatively few years, however, the idea of offering such coupons dates back to 1887, in a local US newspaper where the product was promoting was, neither more nor less than … Coca Cola! Of course, Coca Cola’s marketing vision has almost always been correct (an exception, when they introduced a new Coca Cola formula, withdrawing the traditional one from the market, their losses were large and the one who had the great idea was fired). Well, a lot has happened since then, and how could it be otherwise, some companies have been launching to innovate with this advertising strategy, giving it a twist and making the public interact with their brand, we show you two examples, as always, if you know others, we will love that you share it with us.
Last year, the cosmetics brand Burt’s Bee filled a billboard with discount coupons, these coupons formed, as you will see in the video, the image of a girl, with a dehydrated face. As pedestrians took one of the coupons that formed the image, a new image was discovered, that of the same model, this time with a luminous and hydrated complexion. An original and creative way of showing the typical “before and after” but also interacting with potential customers and offering them discount coupons for their moisturizer! Good idea, right?
