Anti-Bullying Week 2020: United Against Bullying
As a member of the Anti-Bullying AllianceWe are proud to support Anti-Bullying Week (November 16-20) this year to focus on the important things we can all do to stand together against bullying.
Coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, this year’s theme is United Against Bullying. The ABA said: “Bullying has a lasting effect on those who experience and witness it … From parents and caregivers to teachers and politicians, children and youth, we all have a role to play in coming together to make a difference. ”.
For parents and caregivers, it is natural to worry about bullying of children, especially if they have experiences of bullying or, in particular, if a child is more vulnerable to bullying.
Bullying can come in many forms such as cyber bullying, trolling, online hatred and it can be disguised so that it is not so obvious so it is important to know the signs, know where to go if your child is being bullied or if they are the perpetrator and also have regular conversations with them about what is and is not acceptable behavior.
Whether you’re a teacher, parent, or caregiver, there are great ways you can get involved and show your support, take a look below.
