Apple makes it easier to use the iPhone with a mask with its new update

It has been made to wait, but we already have it with us. The new Apple update takes into account the situation that is being experienced worldwide and comes with some long-awaited news. One of them is that  using the iPhone with a mask will finally be easier. Although it is not the definitive solution that we expected, perhaps for security reasons it has fallen halfway, but, in any case, it is very useful. The second is the possibility that your smartphone will alert you if you have been at  risk of exposure to covid-19 .

iOS 13.5: Use iPhone with a mask: Apple makes it easier to use the iPhone with a mask with its new update

It has happened to all of us. We leave the house, we put on the mask, we take the cell phone … and there are problems to unlock. Face ID does not work with a mask and it still does not, but now at least Apple has implemented a measure that is very useful. When your mobile detects that you have a mask on, the option to enter the unlock code manually jumps automatically.

What if you try to add a second face with the mask on? Your iPhone will detect it and tell you that it is not possible since you have part of your face covered.

Exposure risk

In addition, it also comes with another new feature. In the Privacy menu you can activate an option to  receive notifications of the record of exposure to covid-19. By default it is deactivated, so it is important to search for it and activate it manually if we want to use it. With this option, the iPhone exchanges identifiers with other Bluetooth devices and the app will notify you if it detects that you have been exposed to the virus. They promise that this feature will not access your health data or add information on your own. However, not all users have this option available, despite the fact that it already comes in the iOS 13.5 update. My iPhone 11 Pro Max in Spain tells me that  it is not available in my region.
