Babylon’s Fall is one of the most anticipated games by PlatinumGames fans , creators of Bayonetta and Vanquish. Or at least it was before E3 2021. And the gameplay trailer for Babylon’s Fall at the fair, together with the confirmation that it will be a four-way cooperative game as a service , caused his video to receive a barrage of dislikes on YouTube . But you should never judge a book by its cover, and in August you can test the game with its first closed beta on PC.
Through the official game page , Square Enix confirms the dates of the first closed beta of Babylon’s Fall . This will be held only on PC via Steam , while later betas will be expanded first to PS4 and then to PS5, but let’s not get ahead of events. The “Phase One” of the beta will start as early as this week, although it will take a little longer to reach the West, and these are its dates:
Babylon’s Fall Closed Beta (Phase 1)
- Japan: July 29, from 6:00 p.m. (JST) to 10:00 p.m. (JST).
- North America: August 5, from 6:00 p.m. (PST) to 10:00 p.m. (PST).
- Europe: August 12, from 7:00 p.m. (CEST) to 11:00 p.m. (CEST).
This first phase will focus only on testing the technical aspects of a multiplayer game, such as downloading and installing the game, logging in and testing the network and the title servers . As we mentioned before, Square Enix will later expand the testing of the game with a Phase Two, which will add to PS4 as a platform, and a Phase Three that will also extend to PS5. Both remain without date or details, but the company will notify selected players to participate in them by mail when they become available.
