Blackview A60 Pro, a smartphone within reach of all pockets
BlackView is an Asian company specialized in rugged mobile phones or also called SUVs. It also has in its original catalog with smartphones with a projector and powerful batteries. And the last “leg of the chair” is a line of cheap terminals , to which the Blackview A60 Pro belongs . This new entry range that updates the Blackview A60, offers quite decent performance for less than 100 euros. This includes a modern design, good performance, a fingerprint sensor, and Android Pie.
Exterior design of the Blackview A60 Pro: Blackview A60 Pro, a smartphone within reach of all pockets
The first thing we notice when taking it in hand is that it is a fairly large team , with dimensions of 156.8 x 74 x 9.8 mm. Despite its size, it can be easily operated with one hand. What does surprise us is that it only weighs 165 grams , taking into account that we are talking about a 6 ”phablet. Externally it is very elegant , regardless of the finish you choose: Emerald Green, Gradient Blue or Interstellar Black . The latter draws attention with a rear that combines a matte black texture, with a design that bets on vertical stripes, which also makes the grip more consistent.
The notch is still in fashion: Blackview A60 Pro, a smartphone within reach of all pockets
To this we must add that notch shaped like a drop of water so fashionable in recent times, as well as some very narrow bezels , which finish giving it a touch of modernity. On the other hand, although the housing of the Blackview A60 Pro is all plastic , it feels like a robust terminal that is not going to break at the first change. It is striking that the back is completely removable . This means that we will be able to open it to have access to the SIM and Micro SD cards.
Arrangement of buttons, connectors and other elements: Blackview A60 Pro, a smartphone within reach of all pockets
On the left side of this Blackview smartphone we find the buttons to raise and lower the volume, and to turn on the device. The left side appears uncluttered, while the 3.5mm audio jack has been integrated at the top . The lower part is responsible for housing a Micro USB connector next to the microphone for calls. In the back we will see the double photographic sensor of the phone with LED flash, a multimedia speaker at the other end, and right in the upper center. a fingerprint reader , whose position is most practical. We take this opportunity to comment here that the sound quality of the speaker is normal, perfectly fulfilling its function but without fanfare.
Generous 19: 9 IPS screen
Its screen consists of a 6.1-inch IPS LCD panel and an aspect ratio of 19: 9 , which works with HD resolution (600 x 1280 pixels) . Although the screen of this Blackview A60 Pro is presented with a more than correct level of brightness, as well as sufficient viewing angles so that you can enjoy multimedia content without problem, it falls short in quality. But we always have to remember that we are dealing with a low-cost mobile phone.
Processor, GPU and RAM
Blackview has equipped this terminal with a MediaTek processor . Specifically, we refer to the Helio A22 (MT6761) , a quad-core (ARM Cortex-A53) very common in this type of cheap mobile, which operates at a clock speed of 2.0 GHz. This CPU is capable of exceeding 60,000 points in AnTuTu. This SoC is accompanied by a PowerVR GE8300 GPU and 3 GB of RAM , which will give you the opportunity to move most applications and games smoothly. Also the Internet browsing experience is satisfactory.
Storage and operating system
To save files, the Blackview A60 Pro has 16 GB , of which in practice you will only be able to use 11 GB. And the rest is occupied by Android 9.1 Pie powered with AI , which comes “vitaminized” with some extras added by the manufacturer. A microSD card reader has been included , which in theory accepts cards up to 64GB.
Poor quality cameras
Although it was to be expected, the Blackview A60 Pro cannot boast of high-quality cameras. The device has a 5 megapixel front lens to take selfies and video calls, which also has a face unlock function to unlock the mobile . The main one is composed of two sensors: one 8 MP CMOS type with LED flash and f / 2.2 aperture, and another with 5 megapixels. It must be said that the photos will come out relatively well (and we are very very generous) in well-lit environments. You can also record videos with 1080p quality at 30 FPS.
Battery and connectivity
Regarding its battery, it has a capacity of 4,080mAh and no fast charging . This will translate into an autonomy that can be around 2 days. But taking into account that it is a figure that must be “caught with tweezers”, since it will depend on the actual use that we give it. It has also been equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 , various sensors, GPS, FM radio and 4G-LTE connectivity . It also has two SIM card slots , which always come in handy.
If what you are looking for is a resistant phone , within the options offered by this brand, we can find, among others, the Blackview BV6800 Pro . This mid-range with premium aspirations, stands out for having a “body” with military certification, a long-lasting battery, dual Sony rear sensors and a wide variety of connections.

Blackview A60
As we said at the beginning, this smartphone is an improved version of the Blackview A60 , another very cheap phone with the following features: Mediatek MT6580A processor with 4 cores, 1 GB of RAM, an ARM Mali-400 MP1 graphics and Android 8.1 Go Edition (Oreo ) at the controls. Curiously, this mobile has a 13 MP main camera , with a higher resolution than that of the Pro model.
