The product packaging is durable just like the product

To begin, we are going to dedicate a few lines to how the manufacturer delivers its product to the user. And it is that to convey that idea of ​​hardness of the Core T4 tablet , the Crosscall company packages the device in a resistant box, where the product is perfectly packaged, and takes care to preserve the environment. Crosscall creates its packaging with recyclable materials , with a size reduced by 20% , and using cardboard and paper instead of plastic.

The terminal arrives, therefore, kept in a strong box of black color , which resembles the cover of a book. The texts and graphics are in a silver tone . A black cloth tape makes it easier for us to remove the receptacle where all the components are located.

First of all, the tablet

This same tape helps us to lift the cradle where the Core-T4 is located , and that covers the bottom of the box where the accessories of the device are distributed. The components that complement the tablet are: the charger and the USB cable ; the documentation of the device; card holder removal tool ; headphones ; and X-Blocker .

This device has a strong and blunt appearance . It is black in color , with the sides of the reverse of the chassis textured to improve grip and the center with a brushed effect . The tablet is not very cumbersome, but it does feel somewhat heavy. However, it is easy to hold even with one hand .

Crosscall Core T4

The Core T4 weighs just over 600 grams, and measures 22.5 x 13.5 x 1.4 cm . The housing has been designed to withstand extreme conditions of use. This device has passed 13 military standard tests . It resists falls of 1.5 meters in height on its six sides, and works effectively at temperatures between -25 to 50 ºC . In addition, it is a totally dust-tight product , and resistant to liquids in 2 m immersions for 30 min . Crosscall combines tightness and resistance of the product, despite shocks and drops, integrating a magnesium plate under the screen. With this they achieve a better relationship between stiffness and lightness.

The device includes the typical power buttons and volume control buttons . It also has two others that are customizable . Its open ports, USB and jack , are protected with a rubber cover against external aggressions.

What is very special about the physical part and design of this tablet is complemented by some interesting hardware features . It is not a high-performance device, but it is perfectly prepared for professional use.

Screen

The screen on this tablet is medium in size and offers good sharpness. It is 8 inches in size , in 16:10 format , reaching a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels . It offers a high luminosity for outdoor use of 450 cd / m² . Of course, it is a highly resistant element: Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 , which also allows use with gloves .

Performance

To check how far the tablet hardware can give , we have tested it using the AnTuTu app . With the application it is clear that its Qualcomm® SnapDragon ™ 450 processor , and 3 GB of LPDDR3 memory , give just enough to keep productivity operations moving smoothly. Let’s not forget that this is a product that has its place in inventories ; taking orders in restoration ; merchandising in digital stores ; on site to take measurements or have drawings available; and in the emergency services or in agriculture .

 

Cameras

The Crosscall Core T4 offers a modest photographic section. It has a 13 MP rear camera , and a 5 MP front camera . Just enough for videoconferencing and capturing significant moments without too much pretense. We leave you an example of photos taken with the main camera.

 

Battery, operating system and connectivity

The Crosscall Core T4 is capable of withstanding a tough day’s work. Autonomy is one of the manufacturer’s bets, which is why it has been equipped with a large 7,000 mAh capacity battery .

The X-Blocker inserts into the tablet’s slots for support, and ensures that the tablet will remain securely attached to compatible accessories.

The device uses the well-known Android 9 system  to work. Users familiar with this software will find it very easy to get control of the tablet in a few moments.
