Today marks 13 years since Twitter, one of the most popular social networks today, appeared in our lives. Congratulations!

1.  Do you know who was the first person to post a tweet? Well, precisely one of its co-founders, Jack Dorsey. This event occurred on March 21, 2006, but do not think that the publication was very relevant, since it was limited to a very simple phrase: “configuring my twttr”.

And yes, Jack Dorsey referred to the social network in that phrase because that was his original name, although it changed when Noah Glass, who was another co-founder of Twitter, proposed his current name.

7.  Finally, we are going to collect some of the most impressive figures on Twitter, such as that, for example, 330 million users from all over the world are connected per month, or that 500 million tweets are published per day. But although these data seem astronomical, it should be noted that the system is prepared to support up to 18 quintillion accounts.
