The CIC certificate is issued by the University of Perugia, it is the most professional of the four. That is why companies particularly appreciate it .

It is divided into 2 different levels: Discover the CIC!

The intermediate CIC , corresponding to a B1 level of the MCREL table and dealing with “operational” problems in the company (training, contact between the different parts of the company),
The advanced CIC that corresponds to a C1 level of the same table and that deals more with the company at a strategic level.

For both levels, the CIC exam consists of 5 parts

Oral comprehension in which with more or less technical texts (sometimes with some dialect words or typical Italian expressions for the advanced level), it is necessary to demonstrate some understanding of the themes and the implications,
Written comprehension that quantifies the degree of comprehension of a text or a written document,
Written expression in which the linguistic level is evaluated (subject, verbs, complements, adjectives used) as well as the fluency in the structuring of sentences,
Oral expression to qualify the ability to express oneself in an Italian as professional as possible,
Vocabulary and grammar , knowledge of technical terms related to the business world will be valued.
It is also possible to prepare for the CIC test by contacting a training organization approved by the University of Perugia.
Regarding fees, passing the certification costs between € 140 and € 160 depending on the chosen body.

Although it is useful to pass a certification in Italian , it is necessary to find the most appropriate one according to your own needs and profile:
For a professional profile , passing the CIC or the PLIDA Commercial seems a better option than passing the CILS or DITALS,
Likewise, for a student who is doing a language exchange and wants to spend a semester at the prestigious University of Rome, passing the CILS or the PLIDA would be more logical.
Likewise, for CILS or PLIDA, it is important to pass the certification at a level appropriate to ours. It does not make sense to pass a lower one to have a better grade or a level beyond our reach. To avoid this type of mistakes, you can pass an evaluation exam beforehand.
Preparing a certification is not improvised. In fact, our advice is to prepare well before you show up to deepen your knowledge and see how the progression curve skyrockets. Either through free Italian classes online, through a mobile or tablet application or through a more specific private program in one of the schools mentioned above.
In summary, the PLIDA and CILS certifications are more general, while the DITALS and CIC are aimed at a much smaller audience.
