The highlight are its screens. And we say it in the plural because on the outside it has a very small display, arranged vertically, so that you can see, without having to open the phone, if there is any pending notification, as well as the battery charge status. But the main screen is the interior, with  2.8 inches . The resolution is barely VGA and the technology used is LCD. If you are used to “conventional” smartphones, there is no doubt that you will find it shocking that today phones with this type of screen can be recommended. But we insist that this is not a smartphone to use.

In the so-called  featured phones, the quality of the screens is not the most remarkable thing, but they do not need it either. Is this screen enough on the Doro 6620? Yes, definitely. And we explain why: the size is large, but it also allows you to customize the background, adjust the contrast and the size of the font, it is in color and the screen has a backlight. More than enough.

But what makes the Doro 6620 special? Of course, it’s its features that make this phone that little bit more special than the basics.

I would not tell you that it is a complete smartphone, because this can lead to doubts. It has a proprietary operating system , so its usability is greatly reduced compared to smartphones that carry iOS or Android, for example. Its biggest advantage is that it has  access to WhatsApp, Facebook and email , the perfect trio for the elderly, who do not need more but with this, the moment they learn to use it, they are very happy.

Of course, it also has another series of added functions that will make the Doro 6620 a very practical device for them:  calendar, alarms, clock, SOS button …  Something that we found super interesting is that it has a  white list , that is, that the person will only be able to receive calls from contacts that they have previously included in their phonebook. It should also be noted that it  is hearing aid compatible and that the quality of calls is guaranteed thanks to HD Voice technology  .

As a curiosity, it has a  charging base so that it resembles more in this aspect to a fixed telephone of those of a lifetime and that we never run out of battery, although it is true that the battery lasts a lot (according to data from the manufacturer it offers up to 380 hours in stand-by and 8 hours in conversation).

Finally, it has a  3 MP camera , enough for the day-to-day photos that the user wants to carry on their mobile to remember a landscape or the faces of their grandchildren.
