Eastward, the RPG full of 90s references, already has a release date on Nintendo Switch and PC

The indie game will be temporary exclusive to Switch on consoles and we already know when we will enjoy it.

The Indie Games Show event has left a lot of details and news expected by all. Among them, the ad that has closed and put the finishing touch on the “Nindies” is Eastward , a game that has been in development for some time and already has a release date. It will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch from September 16 , being a temporary exclusive on consoles for the Big N machine.

If you have grown up in the 90s, this game is going to attract your attention. Not only because of its visual finish, but also because it is full of references to that time, something that we have already seen in games like Crossing Souls or in series like Stranger Things lately.

Eastward

It may be one of the indie surprises of the yearThe adventure will take us to a post-apocalyptic future where a presence has left the entire brink of collapse. There, we will live the story of John, a young miner, who meets Sam, a lost young woman who does not know her past. The goal is to find answers as we explore Eastward aboard a train . Of course, there will be enemies along the way and we can kill them with all kinds of gadgets. And the collaboration between both characters will also have to prevail – and alternating their control – to solve puzzles or progress in dungeons.

After a long time in development, we can already say that Eastward has a release date, and it stands as one of the indie games that can give more to talk about in this final stretch of 2021.
