Fun activities to paint with children
Finally, we indicate a series of fun activities and games with painting to do as a family. Children will really enjoy letting their imagination and creativity run wild.
They are all suitable for all ages , easy to make and do not require materials that we do not usually find at home.
Colored bubbles
How do you do it? To make the bubbles you have to mix two parts of water and one part of concentrated dishwasher soap in a container , and add watercolors to color the bubbles. The more colors you want, the more separate mixes you have to do.
Once the mixture or mixtures are made, to draw you just have to take some plastic straws , tie them with elastic bands, dip them in the mixture and blow on the paper or white cardboard. The result will surely surprise you and you will have a great time!
Painting with a straw
Do you want ideas to make frames, cover objects or make original backgrounds for your drawings? Well, for this we bring you another way to use straws to paint!
To carry out this activity, you just have to dilute paint in water, drop one or more drops on a blank sheet and, using the straw, move the paint into shapes of any kind.
Various colors can be used to let your imagination run wild.
To stamp
You may not have thought about it, but at home you will find a large number of objects that can be used for painting and stamping .
What is most often done to create stamps and stamp with paint is to cut a potato in half and cut different shapes (star, square, circle …) with the tip of a knife. If you have at home, you can mark the drawing with cookie cutters. A trick to make stamps easier to use? Make them a handle to be able to catch them better.
Apart from the potatoes, you can also use a sponge , which creates beautiful drawings on the paper due to its texture; rolls of paper , which you can give different shapes; flowers and leaves, forks, Lego pieces , etc. There are many things that can be used for stamping!
The best paint to use for stamping is finger paint . Get dirty!
Painting with a rope
This game is a lot of fun, but be careful because it can get messy ! Ideally, you should cover the table with newspaper and put on old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.
As you can imagine, it consists of making abstract drawings with a string. All you need is colored paints, blank sheets of paper that you need to fold in half, and a piece of string.
To paint, you just have to dip the rope in the paint and drop it on the paper to form different loops. Once this is done, you have to bend the sheet so that the loops of the rope are drawn on both sides and remove the rope very carefully.
You will have very nice symmetrical drawings . You may even be surprised by your child’s imagination when you ask him what the shapes in the drawing look like.
In addition, you can use different colors to make the drawing more creative. Imagination to the power!
Colored footsteps
The title of this activity also makes it quite clear: it consists of drawing with your feet !
To carry it out, you have to place a roll of white paper on the floor (the bigger the better), cover the child’s feet (and hands if you want) with bubble wrap with the help of adhesive tape and wet them in Washable paint to unleash your creativity!
If you don’t mind getting stained, it can also be done without plastic and directly wet your feet and hands in the paint. More fun!
