The commercial success of the Galaxy A series has led Samsung to place more emphasis on it than ever, so it comes as no surprise to anyone that we already have the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 among us (as well as a 5G version of the A52), mid-range terminals that do their best to deliver high-end features at an affordable price. Without further  ado , it’s time to meet them.

The design has not changed considerably from the previous generation, so there is no point in dwelling on this section. What we can highlight is that the Galaxy A52 incorporates an aluminum chassis that receives IP67 certification against water and dust. Similarly, the 4-camera photographic module stands out for being the same color as the body. 

Moving on to the screen, the Samsung Galaxy A52 offers us a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution and perforation for a 32MP front camera. Interestingly, the standard Galaxy A52 screen has a 90Hz refresh rate , while its Pro version reaches 120Hz. Needless to say, the same panel acts as a fingerprint reader. 

Under the hood lies an unidentified octa-core processor, as Samsung likes to keep us in suspense (with the exception of its flagship chips). However, in the standard version it has a speed of 2.3Ghz, while in the 5G model the clock frequency is 2.1GHz. Another difference – which is implicit – is the 5G Sub-6Ghz modem present in the higher model.

Leaving those differences aside, both versions are accompanied by 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage, but it is also available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM if you prefer. Be that as it may, a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging powers the terminals, and the Android 11 operating system (along with  One  UI 3.1) is in charge of bringing them to life. 

In the connectivity department, the Samsung Galaxy A52 supports  Wi- Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE and of course 5G in the case of the corresponding model. 

And we come to the favorite section of many: the cameras, where the Samsung Galaxy A52 outlines a quad camera headed by a 64MP sensor with optical image stabilization, 0.8 micron pixel size and f / 1.8 aperture. As a backup, we find a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth sensor. 

Galaxy A72 

Succeeding the popular A71 we will find the Galaxy A72, which unfortunately does not have a 5G variant. 

Sporting a similar finish to the Galaxy A52, but with a matte finish, the Galaxy A72 raises the ante a bit, something we can realize just by looking at the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen . Despite the increase in size, the refresh rate and resolution do not change (FHD + and 90hz). 

Where we will find changes compared to the A52, it is in the hardware department, with the incorporation of a Snapdragon 720G chip accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Alternatively, we can find it with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the battery grows 5.000mAh but still  u t i l i z a n d or c to r g to r to p i d to d e 2 5 W .

When it comes to cameras, this mobile repeats the configuration of its smaller brothers, although with a critical difference that gives it the advantage: it has an 8MP lens with 3X zoom instead of a 5MP depth sensor. Also, the front camera maintains 32MP. 

Availability and price 

The Galaxy A52 goes on sale from today for a price of 349 euros , while the A52 5G sells for 429 euros in its basic memory configuration (6 + 128GB). For its part, the Galaxy A72 is priced at 449 euros .
