Samsung has just announced 5G versions of two of its most interesting mid-range devices, these are the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 , of which we talked some time ago and that they bet on an impressive Infinity -O screen  together with a large capacity battery and a quad camera. Now we can add next-generation 5G connectivity for ultra-fast navigation to this combination.

Both terminals are extremely similar to each other, but have received a processor and battery update that distinguish them from the 4G models. Going into details, both devices make use of a Super AMOLED screen with a Full HD + resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels that is characterized by having a hole in the middle for the selfie camera. In the case of the Galaxy A71 5G, this screen has a size of 6.7 inches, while in the Galaxy A51 5G it has a diagonal of 6.5 inches.  

At the rear is a quad camera mounted on a rectangular module that protrudes slightly. The fingerprint reader is located on the screen, just as you would expect.

Samsung’s goal with these smartphones is to bring all the virtues of the 5G network to the masses , but without compromising on essential features. In this sense, the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 are positioned as mid-range devices powered by a chip that we can deduce is the  Exynos  980 5G , which is backed by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in both models. 

It is important to note that in this 5G edition the Galaxy A51 equals its older brother in battery, consisting of a 4,500mAh battery compatible with fast charging (25 watts for the A71 5G and 15 watts for the A51 5G). 

The operating system is none other than Android 10 along with the One  UI 2.0 user interface  , which includes smart features such as the Bixby assistant  , Samsung  Pay  and Samsung Health.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 has four cameras arranged in an ‘L’ shape on a slightly peculiar rectangular module. The sensors to know are: a 64MP main (f / 1.8), 12MP ultra wide angle (f / 2.2) , 5MP depth and 5MP macro sensor (f / 2.4). For its part, the Samsung Galaxy A51 also has a similar configuration, with the only difference being the main sensor, which has a resolution of 48MP and aperture f / 2.0. Another aspect they have in common is the front camera, which exhibits a 32MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture.

Although Samsung announced that these 5G versions of the Galaxy A71 and A51 will soon be arriving on the market, the company has yet to confirm their availability and price in Europe , so for now it’s time to keep waiting.
