How to get a Russian visa?
To apply for a visa for Russia , you will need:
- Original passport , not a copy, valid for at least six months.
- Invitation letter or visa support : must be provided by the hotel, if it is a tourist trip; the company, if the reason is work, or the college or university if it is a trip to study. The Visa Center also issues it, as well as other websites: Hotels Pro or iVisa.
- Medical assistance insurance for the duration of the trip.
- Application form printed , signed and with an original passport-size photograph. You have to fill it in electronically , but remember that you will need data from the previous documents and you must be clear about the dates and cities you will go to.
- Proof of payment of fees , if you have done it by bank transfer.
- Form «received»: which reflects the order made, personal data and contracted services. You must include the total cost and an email to which they will write you when your authorization is ready. It is only necessary for the Madrid office.
You can process the visa both in the consular sections of the Russian embassy in Spain (there is one in Madrid and another in Barcelona), as well as in the Russian Visa Center, an independent company that collaborates with the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy and that It also has branches in Madrid and Barcelona.
If you do not live in Madrid or Barcelona and you cannot travel to these capitals either, you can also process your visa by courier, although this service is only offered by the Russian Visa Center .
The visa for Russia has several prices: at consular offices: 35 euros for the ordinary visa (ten days), and 70 euros, the urgent one (24 hours); at the Russian Visa Center: 58 euros, the ordinary one, and 113 euros, the urgent one. In both cases, the payment is made upon request and is non-refundable.
