Huawei details more news of the renewed version EMUI 11

Last week, a global online event was accessed by Huawei that had the new Mate 40 phone as the main protagonist . As a follow-up to the next generation of devices, the Chinese brand has unveiled the new improvements that will reach the EMUI 11 customization layer and that focus on optimizing performance while gaining security of use.

The novelties in EMUI 11 are not few and point from greater customization options so that each terminal is more similar to the tastes of its owner , through new functions for multi-tasks during work days, and reaching extra privacy options and security that prevent other people from viewing sensitive content. We review some of them below.

New features in EMUI 11: Huawei details more news of the renewed version EMUI 11

Starting with the visual, EMUI 11’s “Always-ON Display” (AOD) technology integrates three artistic elements in the design (shape, color and space) that now have more possibilities to be modified . Each person can choose the shapes, extend beyond the default color palette, and use photo hues of their choice to create custom designs.

As if that were not enough, each user can set an animated image (GIF) as the AOD block wallpaper , as well as choose words from the poem or lyrics from the favorite song with changes between different fonts and colors so that the Smartphone represents their owner from the first glance.

At the time of its operation, the Huawei Mate 40 series is enriched by the possibilities of EMUI 11 through the interaction of multiple windows of the phone with the “Multi-screen Collaboration” mode, which is capable of displaying up to three windows of Apps from the terminal on the screen of a connected PC.

If privacy and security are your concern, not only is it promised to avoid disturbing, tracking and not exposing users’ personal data, but also an artificial intelligence function “AI Private View” that avoids showing conversations in public or crowded places . When activated, the facial recognition system is used to identify if the user is the owner of the device and automatically hides the content if it detects that one or more people are looking at the screen.

Finally, if using the phone for presentations or watching videos on external screens, EMUI 11 understands the need for privacy at this time and ensures that incoming calls and message notifications will not appear on the projected screen .

At the moment, the version 11 has been released in beta form for Huawei P40 series (excluding the lite version) as well as for the previous Huawei Mate 30 and Mate Xs with the promise of more terminals that will be compatible in the future.
