Huawei Maimang 8, the Huawei Mate 30 Lite is unveiled in China

Despite going through a pretty tough situation,  China’s tech leader  Huawei doesn’t seem interested in stopping smartphone production. This week the Maimang  8 was presented in China  a terminal that we will probably know in the West as Huawei Mate 30 Lite . Naturally it looks like a solid mid-range mobile option and an interesting evolution from the Mate 20 Lite.

Whether it’s called the  Maimang  8 or the Huawei Mate 30 Lite, one thing is clear, it will feature a 6.21-inch IPS screen with 2340 x 1080 pixels FHD + resolution . It houses a  notch  in the shape of a drop of water for the front camera, which consists of an 8MP sensor for  selfies .

The terminal has an aluminum chassis with a glass back cover , on top of which is a vertically aligned triple camera with LED flash. In the center of this, the fingerprint sensor is positioned .

Technical characteristics and cameras 

In the Hardware department, the Huawei  Maimang  8 repeats the configuration to which the manufacturer has accustomed us in the mid-range. By this we mean the Kirin 710 chip along with 6GB of RAM , which is complemented by 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via Micro-SD) and a 3,400mAh battery.

The terminal runs Android 9 Pie along with the company’s custom interface, EMUI 9. It also offers all the connectivity standards that can be expected from a device in this category in 2019: Dual 4G VoLTE,  Wi- Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and GPS + GLONASS. 

Finally, it has a triple main camera , made up of a 24MP sensor , a 16MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. As  mentioned  above, the selfie camera   is around 8MP .

Availability and price of the Huawei  Maimang  8 

This smartphone is already in a pre-sale state in China, with a starting price of 1,899 yuan, the equivalent of $ 274 dollars or € 244 euros . However, its official sale begins on June 12, and, in addition, rumors suggest that it will be known as Huawei Mate 30 Lite when it receives a global launch.
