Huawei P50 would be delayed until May, HarmonyOS is the culprit
At this point in the year, it is inevitable that we look at the calendar and notice an absence. In recent years, Huawei made the start of spring its own by unveiling its P range. However, in this rare 2021 we still have no news of its new Huawei P50 . The motives? The Chinese giant does not renounce to release HarmonyOS in this new family.
Huawei P50 in testing phase: Huawei P50 would be delayed until May, HarmonyOS is the culprit
According to the source of this news, the Huawei P50 series would already be in the testing phase to prepare before its arrival at the end user. Apparently, the delays in the calendar are due to HarmonyOS , the own operating system that Huawei is preparing and that still has details to be polished, which is causing this family of phones to not be able to make its display yet.
Based on this, we would have to wait until May to see the Huawei P50 series on the market. We do not know if this will also cause a delay in Mate or if, after this setback, the calendar will return to the dates it had until now.
What models are expected?
The latest leaks suggest that we will have three models on the table: Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Plus . As usual, the photographic section would once again be the protagonist in this family of phones, although, with Leica’s permission, this year we bet that, if we finally get to see HarmonyOS running on them, it will be the software that will take all the looks.
In addition to these new P50s, the deployment of this operating system to other company terminals that are already on the market will also be news, such as the P40 or Mate 40 family, which also aim to be the first to receive this long-awaited update.
