Unfortunately for the large companies in the mobile industry, GSMA has canceled the MWC in Barcelona for the first time in history ; Naturally, this decision is due to the delicate situation of the Coronavirus epidemic that threatens the health of those attending the event, as well as due to the refusal to attend by several companies. However, some brands do not think to stay with the itch of showing off their arsenal of new mobile devices, and they have decided to proceed with their presentations planned for February 24, the date on which MWC 2020 was supposed to start. 

Among these companies we have Huawei and its sub-brand Honor , as well as the new Chinese player, Realme, and the veteran Japanese company Sony. 

Huawei will present a new folding mobile in Barcelona this February 24 : Huawei, Realme and Sony will have their presentation even if there is no MWC

Huawei does not plan to back down and will continue with its plans as far as possible. In this sense, the Chinese company announced that it will hold a virtual conference on February 24 in Barcelona , in which it will screen a  prerecorded keynote , which will be followed by a demonstration experience on the site. Additionally,  Gizmochina  learned of Huawei’s plans to announce a new foldable smartphone at the event, although details of the device are still unknown. The event will be broadcast to YouTube and will begin at 2:00 p.m. (Peninsular Spain). 

In this order of ideas, Honor will also have a conference via streaming , which can be seen via YouTube on the day of the event at 6:30 p.m. (Peninsular Spain). 

The  show  must go on  

Similarly, Sony will open on the 24th with a streaming conference at   8:30 in the morning to present the new Xperia line, as confirmed by the brand’s YouTube channel. 

Realme will do the same at 10am and you can even access the transmission through the link below, but obviously it will begin on the 24th. In it we will meet the anticipated Realme X50 Pro 5G .
