At  iFixit they have wanted to do what they do best,  disassemble phones , to offer their own insight into the facts about the  Samsung Galaxy Fold screen problems . And the results seem quite worrying: there are several points that can cause these problems and that do not put the first folding of the company in a very good place.

The guys at iFixit have disassembled a terminal to check where the failure could be and the truth is that instead of finding a single reason, there have been several points to highlight.

On the one hand, the  fragility of OLED screens , the one used by this device and without a glass to cover them and after repeated folding, it is normal to give problems.

But in addition to this,  a small 7 nm gap has been found in the center of the fold, tiny but enough for dust and moisture to enter the screen.

Finally, the guys at iFixit have expressed their concern about the “protector”, which is actually just another component of the screen, but which is really easy for the user to remove. The user should not be allowed to so easily access a type of component without which the device cannot function properly.
