After many rumors and speculation by the specialized media, Apple has finally been encouraged to reveal its second generation iPhone SE, which, like its predecessor, is emerging as an affordable terminal belonging to the Apple family. The Cupertino firm has made enough cuts to this device to keep its price below 500 euros, especially on the screen (4.7 inches and HD + resolution), but it has the same chip that powers the iPhone 11, so we can still wait. excellent performance of the new iPhone SE 2020.

Comparisons with the iPhone 8 are unavoidable and this is due to a practically recycled chassis of said terminal, but with some elements taken from the iPhone 11. Going into detail, this device has dimensions of size of 138.4 x 37.3 x 7.3 mm with a weight of 148 grams, so by modern standards, it is a small smartphone. 

The aforementioned is especially noticeable when looking at its 4.7-inch retina HD screen, which exhibits an HD + resolution of 1,334 x 750 pixels and True Tone technology   that adjusts the white balance according to the ambient light. The HDR10 standard and Dolby Vision playback   are also supported by this display. It should be noted that the front has thick frames inappropriate for 2020, as well as a size that is peculiar today, but remember that Steve Jobs always preferred smartphones that could be manipulated with one hand. 

Additionally, iPhone SE 2020 comes with a rugged, aerospace-grade aluminum and glass design with an all-black front. To the latter is added the characteristic home button with  touch  ID for fingerprint unlocking and transactions with Apple Pay. 

Finally, the body is IP67 certified, which means that it is dust and water proof (up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes). 

The A13  Bionic  does not miss the appointment 

The powerful Bionic  A13 chip  that made its debut in the iPhone 11 series is present in the iPhone SE 2020, as is the neural engine that supports machine learning and accelerates tasks involving artificial intelligence. This chip is accompanied by an unspecified amount of RAM along with 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of internal storage and is powered by a battery whose capacity is also unknown. 

On the other hand, what we do know is that it supports  fast charging of 18 watts , which allows to replenish 50% of the capacity in just 30 minutes. Additionally, it can be charged wirelessly using Qi- certified chargers  . 

At the software level we have iOS 13 along with all the benefits and services that come from Apple. In terms of wireless connectivity, the iPhone SE 2020 supports 4G LTE (Dual Nano SIM and  eSIM), NFC for electronic payments, Wi- Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS .

Surprisingly (or not) the iPhone SE 2020 makes use of a unique camera system, which therefore consists of a single 12MP sensor with f / 1.8 aperture , but one that benefits from the image signal processor and the Neural  Engine  of the A13  Bionic  to take advantage of more advancements in computational photography, such as Portrait mode, the six Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control. This camera is capable of filming video in 4K at 60FPS and supports HDR , which shows the photographic power of Apple. 

For its part, the front camera uses a 7MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture that also benefits from the benefits of the Bionic A13 and iOS 13.
