In recent months, MediaTek has been renewing its line of processors aimed at an audience that loves video games on their mobiles. New models for entry-level terminals were already seen last July and now it is the turn of the highest range on the market with the MediaTek Helio G95.
MediaTek Helio G95 is a “Premium” processor that is presented as a revision of the well-known Helio G90 announced a year ago, slightly improving its performance from the inclusion of an updated GPU (Mali-G76 MC4) that works at a higher frequency . Here we review everything that this new chipset brings:
MediaTek Helio G95 Official Features: MediaTek Helio G95, the processor for gamers is updated
Starting with the basics of this component, the same type of manufacturing must be confirmed in a 12 nanometer process and a total of eight cores ( 2 x Cortex-A76 at 2.05 GHz and 6 x Cortex-A55 at 2 GHz). According to the creators, a 5% performance increase has been obtained in CPU benchmarks and around 8% in GPU benchmarks.
The GPU is precisely the big change from MediaTek Helio G95 by adding an ARM Mali-G76 MC4 that increases its operating speed to 900 MHz instead of 800 Hz of the previous generation.
On the other hand, there is no lack of support for 4G connectivity but it has not yet been updated to the 5G standard that is being appreciated so much in recent months, while it includes Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0 and support for up to 10 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and storage of type eMMC 5.1 or UFS 2.1.
In addition to being compatible with Full HD + panels with a 21: 9 aspect ratio and 90 Hz refresh rate and 48 or 64 megapixel cameras in a 24 megapixel + 16 megapixel dual sensor lens or combination, the inclusion of its MediaTek HyperEngine technology that includes different improvements to facilitate the gaming experience.
Thus, users will find an intelligent network prediction engine that complements the use of mobile data when it detects that the Wi-Fi connection is not stable enough , dual Wi-Fi connection to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks from the same connection or from different routers, support for HDR10 with 10-bit color, intelligent resource management to keep the fps stable, and various other details.
MediaTek has announced that the processor will be available from this month and will be included in launches of major brands, beyond which there are not yet any confirmed.
